| ISUP Gateway |
ISUP interface for TCP/IP platforms |
The ISUP GATEWAY - ISUP interface for TCP/IP platforms - it is a unit that connects generic TCP/IP platforms to the public telephone switching signaling network - allowing the implementation of many types of services.

Functions
- Add/Drop of ISUP signaling channels
- Endpoint SS#7
- Remote controlled call establishment
- Remote controlled call supervision
- TCP/IP network interface
Advantages
- Compatible, flexible and easy maintained
- Open TCP/IP control interface with Multi-Service Platforms
- Low cost for acquisition, installation and operation
- Own hardware for E1/T1 interface
- Modular easy expanding system
Applications
- Multi-Service Platforms (ex.: Call-Center, Pre-Paid, etc.)
- Anti-Fraud systems (black-list and call disconnection)
- ISUP interface to Voice Response Units
- 0800 freephone
- Televote
- Traffic Control
- Call Screening (ex.: to deny automatic collect calls to registered called numbers)
Fixed Pre-Paid Platform utilizing the ISUP Gateway (ITS - São Paulo)
Utilization
ISUP Gateway can be connected between two public switching centers (Mode I - ISUP Tunneling) or to only one switching center (Mode II - Voice Loopback) and also to Call Centers (Mode III -ISUP interface to Call Centers). All affected calls must be routed to the ISUP Gateway controlled route. Two ISUP Gateway can control the same route where redundancy is necessary.
Mode I - ISUP Tunneling
- Two SS7 ISUP interfaces(one at each side)
- The ISUP GW do not have a Signaling Point Code
- For each side the ISUP GW acts as a proxy to the other side
- Metallic trough-connected emergency switch keeps the link during ISUP GW out-of-service states

Mode II - Voice Loopback

- One SS7 ISUP interface
- The ISUP Gateway has a Signaling Point Code
- ISUP Gateway acts as a transit exchange (Virtual Transit Exchange)
- All the E1/T1 inks in the route are connected in loopback
Mode III - ISUP interface to Call Centers
- One ISUP interface and one Signaling Point Code
- TCP/IP communication with Call Center
- Any number of links to each Voice Response Unit
- Any number of VRUs

Event report and operation:
Syslog Agent
- Syslog is a event report system used by the ISUP GW
- Events are E1/T1 alarms, signaling events, traffic reports, etc.
- Syslog manager are available in the market
- E-mail alerts
WEB Server
- ISUP protocol display
- Access CDRs in HTML tables
- Access to events log
- Download of CDR files
